Alice Irene (Hagenkotter) Smondroski Obituary

Alice Irene (Hagenkotter) Smondroski, of Villas New Jersey passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Pelican Point Nursing and Rehab Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on August 6,1938 in West Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late Francis & Alice (Warren) Hagenkotter, and the beloved wife of 32 years to Frank Smondroski.

Alice worked for many years in the accounts payable department for the Kravco Company until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking cruises with her beloved husband, and going to the beach whenever she had the opportunity. She would also frequently attend trivia nights with her husband at local establishments and loved watching the Phillies .  Alice was also involved in many community groups and organizations such as the Gardening Club of Cape May. But most of all she cherished the time she was able to spend with her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be missed by many.

In addition to her beloved husband she is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Anderson) Wallace, Robin (Anderson) Rolando, wife of Dennis, Vicki (Smondroski) Mirzoeff, wife of Erik; son, Jeff Smondroski; “adopted sons”, Dr. Charles Kish & Dr. John Solar.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brian Currier, husband of Laura, Nicholas Currier, partner of Sophia Lavelley, Sean Currier, partner of Theresa Hernandez-Martinez, Dylan Rolando, Tyler Rolando, partner of Megan DePaul, Trevor Smondroski, and Carson Smondroski; sister, Elaine Ashman; two nieces, and four nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Regina Roth and James Warren, Brother-in-Law’s Joe Ashman & Ron Roth, Sister-in-Law Rose Warren, Son-in-Law James Wallace and three nieces.

Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Alice on Thursday January 29, 2026, from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Washington Memorial Chapel, 2000 Valley Forge Park Rd. King of Prussia, PA 19406. Burial will take place in the adjoining church yard.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Alice to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306.
